Week 4

This week first and second graders are learning how to count rhythmically using ball passing games in a circle, rhythm sticks, walking to the beat, and rhythmic rhyming.

Third grade, fourth grade, and fifth grade are learning about rhythm by counting and diving beats with rhymes. Fifth graders are analyzing rhymes and notating the rhythms with standard notation.

All students are learning about timbre by playing voice recognition games and using chrome music lab’s harmonic spectra analyzer to study the frequency content of different sounds.

Second through fifth grade is also learning to sing a new song in the minor key.
