This week is filled with activities to hone students’ fine and gross motor skills.
This week, we continued to learn about sounds. We identified and produced human sounds.
Also, we sang our song for our Moon Festival Performance.
This week, our color is GREEN. We made green related activities.
Also, we continued to draw and followed the correct steps in drawing. We also mixed primary colors to create SECONDARY colors using ziploc bag and paint.
In P.E., we did Space Awareness and Locomotor activities such as Froggy Tag, Animal Actions and Lily Pad Game.
Also, we are starting our classes with a warm up dance and follows it with rounds of running in the yard.
Week 2 is focused on knowing everyone’s names and getting used to the classroom atmosphere.
This week, we started to learn colors in preparation for the color wheel lesson. We will have a color of the week.
Also, we learned how to properly care for art materials. We sharpened dull pencils and reviewed how to cut and paste using scissors and glue. Also, table captains are selected every lesson.
In Music, we continued to work on our Nursery rhymes with the help of big books. Everyone’s prepared to sing their hearts out.
This week, we learned locomotor movements. Students are excited to do activities they can do with their feet! We also did the Hunting Game. We learned how to walk properly, run, hop, jump, leap, glide and gallop.
