This quarter, we will create an Art Book for Kindergarten. This Art Book contains art concepts and artworks Kinders learned and made throughout the whole year. We will certainly take one step at a time and do our best to make our book a meaningful and an artistic portfolio.
Kinders were tasked to draw a picture on how they go to school everyday.
They were asked to include relevant details and drawing concepts they learned.
Page One: Primary Hands
They traced their hands and color them in the primary colors, RED, YELLOW and BLUE.
Page Two: Mondrian Art Coloring
A supplemental art for the Primary Colors.
Page Three: Blotter Bugs
An art activity in learning secondary colors. Kinders learned to mix the colors bu combining paints using paper. Because it was Earth Day, we used recycled papers.
The following meeting, after drying the paint, we drew details to make it look like bugs and glued those in their books.
Page Four: Caterpillar Pattern
This activity is about learning to create a pattern and draw details to make it look like a caterpillar. Kinders were asked to cut, make a pattern and glue the shapes.
The best thing about this is that we’re doing it all wearing our pajamas!
Page Five: Warm and Cool Colors
The students leaened about Warm and Cool Colors by remembering the things in their environment. Warm colors remind them of fire, sun, and Fall.
Cool colors remind them of sea, winter, and sky.
Page Six: Neutral Colors
The students are able to mix colors to come up with the neutral colors brown and gray. They were asked to draw animal/s with neutral colors.
