Students will be making a model of the human circulatory system using pens and makers to map the paths of arteries and capillaries. This will be done in conjunction with their lessons on the body in their science class.
This week will be a very experimental and hopefully challenging for the students. They will be making scribble drawings and filling in the spaces with primary colors. The exercise does not allow for two colors to share the same wall, so the student will have be resourceful.
We will be working with observation for one of the first times. Students will be drawing themselves using pastels and tempera paint. They will have mirrors and be asked to draw themselves before they paint over their drawing.
In gearing up for the Halloween season, the students will be making a Jack-O-Lantern using cardboard and scissors. After seeing a quick slide show, they will design their own faces which they will cut out.
